The OU Civic Orchestra provides advanced musicians throughout the community the opportunity to perform high quality orchestral literature. The Civic Orchestra course may be taken by OU students for credit or it may be taken as a noncredit enrollment by students and others interested in orchestral music. More information.

Developmental Mathematics designed for either a returning student who needs a refresher in mathematics before tackling college-level mathematics or a traditional student who does not have a strong foundation in high school mathematics. Most students enrolling in these courses either have a low score on the mathematics placement test offered at University College or choose to take one of these courses based on their ACT/SAT scores. The Drive By Press Summer Printmaking Workshop focuses on advanced techniques and practices in all printmaking disciplines. Workshop participants spend two weeks focusing on self-defined projects under the guidance of professional print artists. More information.
The Gifted and Talented Enrichment program is available to middle school through high school students. For several years Precollegiate Programs has coordinated these classes for school systems across Oklahoma and enjoys a yearly reoccurring program with the Norman Public Schools middle schools. OU Intersession creates a unique learning environment for University of Oklahoma students. Classes take place for three weeks between the traditional semesters: May, August, and December. These classes give students flexibility with their schedules by providing online options as well as traditional face-to-face classes. By taking Intersession, students can lighten their load during the fall and spring semesters and also have opportunities to make up for lost time or graduate sooner than expected. Website
The New Horizons Band is a unique program musically enriching the lives of people from all musical skill levels. Beginning, intermediate, and advanced adult musicians who wish to learn, develop, and improve their musical talents are welcome to join this fun learning environment. Oklahoma DUI Judicial Education is a statewide outreach effort aimed at reducing the frequency and number of impaired drivers through the education of court professionals, targeting judges; and will encompass both municipal and district courts to reduce impaired driving and increase public safety for targeted communities in the state. The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute is dedicated to the promotion of lifelong learning and personal growth among older adults, age 50+, through a variety of noncredit courses. These courses include the weekly Mornings with the Professor, OU Book Club, Senior Seminars, and Elderlearn. All courses are designed to provide an enlightening and engaging education for the participants with subjects ranging from classic literature to current controversial issues. Website.
